Critical Care Nursing Recruitment
Local press, trade press and radio

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust needed to recruit a high volume of nurses to their Critical Care unit ? this incorporates A&E, Stroke, Acute Assessment, ITU, Theatres and Neuro. While exceptional senior nurses were already in place, they needed a large number of Band 5 and Band 6 nurses, as well as some specialist roles to make the team even stronger.

As the Trust was aiming to recruit such a large number of staff, it held an Open Day. We agreed with them that this was the best way to sell the Trust and all its opportunities to Nurses. People who attended would be able to see the highly impressive hospital for themselves, as well as meet the senior team members with whom they would be working. The “Carry On Progressing” campaign used the well-known look of the old film posters, it communicated the concept of old-fashioned nursing in a fun and creative way. It was also sure to stand out in a marketplace that usually uses stereotypical images of nurses and hospital equipment. We commissioned an illustrator to do the drawing - the Trust now own this illustration and intend to use it in further projects.
