Having been newly formed from the merger of Rainer Children’s Services and Crime Concern, Catch22 needed to recruit a Regional Director, which is a notoriously difficult position to fill. At the same time, they needed to send out strong and positive messages about the new organisation. We achieved this by using an image of a teenage magazine, and changing the cover lines to become darker and more serious – communicating the issues that young people faced, and the massive impact that the successful candidate would have on their lives. We also created a website which reflected the creative style, and conveyed a large volume of additional information. As a result, Catch22 recruited the right person, at a fraction of the cost of using a recruitment agency – while significantly raising their profile.
